Workshop for children: “Blacksmithing & Rope-Making” at the Historic Boat Yard.
In this workshop, you’ll discover the traditional crafts of the historic shipyard. You’ll learn how blacksmithing was done in the past and how strong ropes were made from many fibers. Along the way, you’ll gain fascinating insights into the work of the craftsmen who built and fitted out ships. In a fun and interactive way, you’ll learn just how important these tasks were at a shipyard.
