Special hike for children.
Welcome to the Baltic resort of Mönchgut! Together with a ranger, you will dive into the exciting underwater world and the eventful history of a very special fire extinguishing pond here in the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve.
With the help of landing nets, magnifying glasses and your spirit of discovery, you can find the answers to all kinds of adventurous questions. Why does the wobble beetle wobble? Can water scorpions sting? Why do dragonfly larvae look like little monsters and why does the caddisfly larva need a quiver? Let's find out together!
This guided tour lasts about two hours and is specially designed for children aged 6 and over.
Please remember to bring sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing, insect repellent, an emergency towel and a change of clothes. Minimum age six years accompanied by an adult supervisor.
