Play by Raphaela Bardutzky
Fritz is an original and third-generation river fisherman. But since suffering a heart attack, Fritz can do almost nothing - neither fish, move nor speak. Franz, his son and hairdresser in the city, pleads for a home. But Fritz doesn't want to leave home. The best solution? A care worker from abroad! So young Piotra, who actually dreams of the big wide world, comes to live with old, taciturn Fritz, who only speaks dialect. The gulf between the two is immense, and not just verbally. To Fritz's delight, Piotra knows his way around forgotten river fish dishes. Piotra, on the other hand, escapes from her rural loneliness by chatting with the bus driver from her care agency.
Raphaela Bardutzky juggles the extreme contrasts of our contemporary worlds in a clever, funny and sensitive way.
