Armida Quartet String Quartet

The Armida Quartet has chosen French repertoire for its farewell concert and crowns its summer as prizewinner in residence with César Franck's passionate Piano Quintet in F minor - a pinnacle work of chamber music - and has invited the brilliant pianist and Festival prizewinner Kit Armstrong. The artist, once celebrated by Alfred Brendel as a child prodigy, returns to St. Bartholomew's Church alongside the quartet, where he had already electrified the audience two years previously with his cycle "Five Centuries of Piano Music".
