Guided evening canoe tour departing from the Salem Sailing Base. Following in the footsteps of the crepuscular and nocturnal beaver, we’ll take young and old alike through the Peene River’s peat pits to the beaver lodges.
We’ll set out in the evening from the Salem Sailing Center. Together, we’ll paddle in Canadian canoes across Lake Kummerow and through the Peene River’s peat pits to the beaver dams. With a little luck, we’ll spot these crepuscular and nocturnal animals there. On the way back, we’ll keep an eye out for great blue herons and swimming grass snakes. The tour is especially suitable for families with children. Some prior paddling experience is helpful.
