The program is rounded out by charming rarities such as “Der Kanarienvogel” by Poliakin and the virtuosic piece “Die Biene,” composed by an unknown Franz Schubert. Thorsten Rosenbusch performed many of these works at a young age with his father, a sought-after solo répétiteur at the Metropol Theater in Berlin. These early experiences shaped his love for entertaining and virtuosic compositions, which he now brings to the stage with great expressiveness.
Thorsten Rosenbusch served as first concertmaster at the “Staatsoper Unter den Linden” (Berlin) for over four decades and collaborated with conductors such as Simon Rattle, Christian Thielemann, Daniel Barenboim, and Peter Schreier. He brings an impressive career and great passion to the stage.
The artist will be accompanied on the piano by Dr. Eckart Möbius from Schwerin. The two musicians share a close working relationship. In addition to his work as a physician, Dr. Möbius is a sought-after accompanist for art songs and instrumental pieces; he is active in a wide range of chamber music genres and is also a highly successful composer.
