Former Minister-President Berndt Seite reads from his new book
The former Minister-President of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will read from his book, *The Loneliness of the Crane*, and from other manuscripts.
Dr. Berndt Seite was born in Hahnswalde in Lower Silesia and fled with his family to the Elbe River at the end of the war. From 1964 to 1990, he worked as a veterinarian in Walow (the village next to Lexow), where he still lives with his wife. From 1992 to 1998, he served as Minister President of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Berndt Seite writes prose and poetry and publishes a new work every year.
