Depeche Mode in a church that's over 700 years old
Following the huge success of the first Depeche Mode Church Celebration, which drew over 700 guests, we invite you once again to the impressive St. Jakobi Kulturkirche in Stralsund on March 13, 2027.
Beneath the historic vaulted ceiling of this more than 700-year-old church, an extraordinary evening awaits you—mystical, atmospheric, and entirely dedicated to the music of Depeche Mode. Look forward to a special collaboration featuring the organ, the Depeche Mode choir, a live performance, and a DJ. Spanning two floors, the musical journey will take you through Depeche Mode, ’80s music, synth-pop, new wave, gothic, and EBM.
The church itself will also be a visual part of the experience: visuals and projections are planned on the walls and windows of the nave, blending the music, lighting, and the church’s extraordinary architecture into one cohesive whole.
Whether you’re a die-hard Depeche Mode fan or a lover of electronic and dark sounds—the Church Celebration is more than just a party: it’s an experience combining live music, DJ sets, lighting, and the unique atmosphere of a historic church.
