Hands-on research, exciting experiments and insights into laboratories: The University of Greifswald, together with its scientific partner institutions, invites you to the big Science Day on June 27, 2026.
Get into conversation with scientists during hands-on activities for children and young people, experiments, guided tours and lectures. You can look forward to a spectacular open-air show with steam and surprising effects, a look inside an AI-controlled kitchen, prehistoric crabs and exclusive guided tours of the Zoological Museum or the university's geological collections.
The main theme is One Health - there is only one health. At the same time, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences is celebrating its 75th anniversary. The Science Day thus combines current social issues of the future with the long scientific tradition of the University of Greifswald.
A day that creates knowledge: Science Day is aimed at all generations - families, children and young people as well as anyone interested in research and scientific topics from Greifswald.
Curious? In our Science Day app you will find the complete program with all activities, guided tours and lectures conveniently on your smartphone, tablet or PC - without any installation. This allows you to plan your personal Science Day individually. In addition, information flyers will be available at many locations in Greifswald and the surrounding area shortly before the event.
