Bach cantata meets popular music
A cordial invitation to the DAY OF CHURCH MUSIC
On Sunday KANTATE, the cheerful, festive highlight of the Easter season, singing [lat. cantare] will be given a special setting and will be heard and experienced in all its diversity. It will begin with a joint service in Schwerin Cathedral; the cantata BWV 37 Wer da gläubet und getauft wird by Johann Sebastian Bach will be performed. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to visit the historic Ladegast organ. After a short hike up the so-called Paulsberg to the parish hall at St. Paul's Church, there will be a snack and the opportunity to view the equally historic Friese organ in St. Paul's Church. A musical devotion with the performance of the pop mass Mass4Youth by Jan Meyer will conclude the church music day in the special rooms with their outstanding instruments, but above all the numerous singers, musicians and you as music-loving listeners.
