This conserves resources and saves money. Libraries make an indispensable contribution to each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We’re participating through: “Sustainability” Exhibition: This media exhibition aims to raise awareness of sustainability and encourage more people to act sustainably. The exhibition also enables schools and daycare centers to actively engage with sustainability issues and raise children’s awareness of them. Everyone can make a difference for the better. Media on the topic of sustainability are available for checkout. Media Checkout “Library of Things” checkout, e.g., PocketBook, energy-saving kit (which can be used to identify “household” energy guzzlers) Seed Library: Borrow seeds—reap diversity Book Swap in September “Books Go Swimming”: A collaboration with the municipal Waldbad. Books that are no longer needed at the library are donated to the “Book Cell” at the Waldbad. Swimmers are welcome to help themselves there.
