The Friends of the Regional Library invite you to the Bibo-Café with journalist Christian Stelzer. The House of Culture and Education celebrated its 60th anniversary last year and is now an icon of East German modernism. The opening was an event that garnered media attention far beyond Neubrandenburg. Both East German television and West German television reported on the city and its new cultural center at the time. Citizens, construction workers, and the architect were featured and had their say. Most of the broadcasts from that time have been preserved in archives. Christian Stelzer’s film retrospective takes us back to the years between 1965 and 1975. Admission: The event is free of charge. Registration is not required. Accessible.
