Creedence Clearwater Revival provided the entire universe at the end of the 60s and beginning of the 70s with hits that had a significant influence on the generation of the time and have absolute cult status today. Beautiful and catchy songs brought us the finest rock from California. It rained golden records and this rain seemed unstoppable. The band created true evergreens with their mix of rock'n'roll standards, rough, blues-soaked anthems and the right pinch of country.
The Woodstock legend CCR was considered one of the most successful bands in the world at the time. With hits such as Suzie Q., Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, Who'll Stop the Rain, Hey Tonight, Have You Ever Seen the Rain and many more, Creedence Clearwater Revived featuring Johnnie Guitar Williamson have been touring the globe again for almost 30 years and have thrilled well over a million visitors in Europe alone in the last decade! The band also celebrated great success with their CD releases, such as the two albums "Live in Sardinia" (2014) and "Live in Europe" (2018 on CD and DVD). The DVD has long since sold out and the CDs are also enjoying huge demand, so a new album followed in February 2025, which the four seasoned musicians recorded in the best playing mood during the legendary Woodstock and Beyond World Tour 2024. With the typical guitar sound, using the aged Fender Deville amplifiers, the band breathes new life into the numerous old CCR hits - even after so many years. With the new frontman Bernard "Bernie" Southern, Creedence Clearwater Revived has found a counterpart for John Fogerty, who is in no way inferior to the original vocally, although the sound is somewhat different. With their complete dedication, the whole band really does manage to successfully transport the spirit of the Woodstock era into the modern age, to keep the CCR cult alive and to transform the sound of the past into the here and now. As a result, the many CCR songs from the 60s/70s don't come across as purist, but as contemporary, lively and still sound typically Creedence Clearwater Revival. The band simply impresses with its authenticity and joy of playing, which it has proven time and again in countless concerts around the globe, as far away as Japan and Australia.
