Symposium on piracy today as part of the special exhibition "PIRATES. Myth and Reality" at the Rostock Maritime Museum.

As part of the special exhibition "PIRATES. Myth and Reality", the Rostock Maritime Museum is dedicating the symposium "Piracy Today" to the current threat of piracy. Despite modern security technologies and international cooperation, piracy remains a security-relevant and economically significant issue for seafarers, shipping companies and global supply chains in the 21st century. The conference will bring together experts from academia, security authorities, shipping and industry to discuss historical developments, international law and legal issues as well as current prevention and protection strategies.

Registration by e-mail to info@schifffahrtsmuseum-rostock.de or by telephone on 0381-12831364.
