Fulminant Italian dance music from the 30s on 8.3.2026 at 16 UHr in the Fabrik.Scheune of the Alte Kachelofenfabrik
Jakkle is a combo of four musicians who found each other in Berlin. They come from very different musical backgrounds and walks of life, united by the same crazy love of swing, blues, rock 'n' roll and ska. The fruit of their alliance is brilliant dance music, in which the best of the Italian repertoire from the 1930s to the present day flows together. The only selection criterion: to make the audience sweat and give them a few hours of happiness and exciting entertainment.
Celentano, Conte, Buscaglione, Carosone, Jannacci, Capossela can hardly believe their ears as their masterpieces are constantly turned upside down, manipulated and reassembled for pure fun and enjoyment.
An unrestrained, omnivorous rhythm section, completely at ease with both fast swing-tempo fugues and a sharp four-four bass drum beat, guitars à Morricone-style guitars with a secret love for Wes Montgomery, hard bop solos from furious tenor saxophones and lively vocals full of Mediterranean elegance will lead you into smoky hot club atmospheres and then, without being asked, into wild patchanka territory. Italian Old School makes you dance!
