Closing Concert Featuring Young Composers from Brandenburg and Poland
Discover the musical ideas and unique musical languages of a new generation of composers—and look forward to a special concert experience featuring numerous world premieres.
The works by young female composers from Brandenburg and Poland, aged 14 to 27, were evaluated by a panel of experts and developed during a composition workshop. The participants received support from professional female composers and musicians throughout the process. These compositions will now be performed by Marko Kassl on the accordion, Burkart Zeller on the cello, and singer Irene Kurka. Following the concert, the winners of the 31st state competition “Youth Composes” will be announced.
The “Jugend komponiert” project has been organized by the Landesmusikrat Brandenburg e. V. since 1995 and is supported this year by the German-Polish Youth Office. The project is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Culture.
