The “Klassenzimmer” restaurant is located in one of the former classrooms of the Fincken Secondary School, which brought the Kavaliershaus at Blücher Palace to life for over 60 years. Works by two Austrian female artists are now part of the building’s visible history: The kinetic sculpture by Theres Cassini (“Forbidden Fruits”) fills the room with gentle, constant movements, and the work by Deborah Sengl (from the series “Karl Kraus: The Last Days of Mankind) bridges the building’s former and new uses: a taxidermy class learns the phrase written in Sütterlin script on the blackboard: “Promote tourism”—our mission here, paired with the exceptional, regional, fresh cuisine of another artist, Gunnar Müller from Mecklenburg, who creates something new every year, thus continuing to use the second former classroom as a place of learning and lovingly conveying this in every detail, in every ingredient of his dishes! // © Henryk Weiffenbach / Kavaliershaus — ©© Henryk Weiffenbach / Kavaliershaus
