She looks at the experiences of the 20,000 people from Mozambique who worked in the GDR from 1979 to 1991 by letting them speak for themselves. "Madgermanes" was awarded the 2015 Berthold Leibinger Stiftung Comic Book Prize and the 2016 Max und Moritz Prize for the "Best German-language Comic". The author will read from her book in the evening.
