On December 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the Castle Association invites you to the first Christmas concert following the extensive renovation of Griebenow Castle.
In the beautiful Marble Hall, a Christmas program will be presented featuring works by J.S. Bach, Max Reger, Peter Cornelius, and Edvard Grieg, as well as modern Christmas carols by John Rutter and a Christmas hits medley.
Singers from the Greifswald Municipal Music School will perform for you—both as part of a choir and as soloists, accompanied by a pianist—and famous Christmas carols from Germany and around the world will be played as a four-hand medley on the new Bechstein grand piano.
At the same time, we would like to revive an old tradition of singing along with the audience—from well-known Christmas carols such as “Oh Du Fröhliche” and “Sind die Lichter angezündet” to “Silent Night.”
You are cordially invited to the Christmas concert in anticipation of the upcoming Christmas season in 2026.
Admission: €20.00
The Schlosscafé will also open at 5:00 p.m.
