Opening of the special exhibition "Streifzüge durchs Teterower Umland" with photographs by Brita Hilgendorf at the Teterow City Museum
Brita Hilgendorf was born in Teterow and has strong ties to our town and its unique surroundings.
She began her first experiments with digital technology as a member of the Teterow photo club. Here she learned a lot, discovered new things and continued to develop. Great experiences and friendships accompanied this time.
Brita Hilgendorf soon realized that her greatest passion was photographing animals. She therefore decided to buy a faster camera and larger lenses with a longer focal length. She enthuses: "When the little foxes are playing, the kingfishers are mating or the dragonflies are hovering lightly over the water, it's so peaceful that I can lose myself in time and space. Our nature in Mecklenburg Switzerland is so diverse that you can always photograph something new at any time of year or time of day and reproduce it using different techniques."
In recent years, she has enjoyed experimenting with different techniques and processing, which can result in unusual images. This also includes high-key photography. The motifs captivate with bright colors, soft light and low contrasts.
Brita Hilgendorf finds it extremely satisfying to live out her own creativity by using various techniques and processing methods to create unique, unrepeatable photographic works of art.
She hopes to arouse curiosity about the Teterow area with her view and is looking forward to a visit to this somewhat different exhibition!
