Experience first-hand how beer is brewed and look over the shoulders of the brewers and maltsters! They will guide you through our young, but no less high-quality brewery with great ambitions. A tour of our brewery cellars gives you exciting insights into the brewing process and ends with a beer tasting - true to the motto "something is brewing".
The brewery 'Brohmer Landbräu' started its operation in Rattey in 2024 and represents one of our many productions in Rattey Castle, or rather the entire company 'Inselmühle Usedom GmbH'. Our brewers previously had our beers brewed according to their recipes in Berlin, but we are happy that they have all been brewed in Rattey since the beginning of 2024. Our beers are named after the Brohmer Berge, which are located between Berlin and the Baltic Sea, near Neubrandenburg.
Open fermentation vats, a long maturation period, the best malts and selected aromatic hops give our beers their balanced, unique character. We give our classically and traditionally brewed beers a long time to achieve a round and pleasant taste experience. All our beers are not filtered and are therefore naturally cloudy. Since the beginning, we have been brewing Pilsner, a dark beer, the classic top-fermented wheat beer and a bock beer - but the next recipes are already being tested and will soon be in the bottle or keg. Incidentally, right next to our brewery is the wine cellar and, in particular, our bottling plant, where all our beverages produced at Schloss Rattey are actually bottled or kegged.
A guided tour of the 'Brohmer Landbräu' brewery lasts 90 minutes and ends in our farm store for tasting. This tour allows a maximum of 20 participants to look behind the scenes and taste the beers. It is aimed at adults, but accompanying children can take part free of charge (without tasting). The tour costs EUR 20.00 per participant and takes place 'indoors'; please note that the production facilities are rather cool, even in midsummer. The tour can be paid for on site in the farm store in cash or by credit card.
