25 Years Old and Still Not WEGGE(r)OSTET
"Farmer Korl—Disadvantaged, Mentally Challenged, and Likeable"
25 years old and still going strong
The Mecklenburg entertainer, known from the media for his down-to-earth, farm-boy charm, always has the right thing to say. He’s our hero of the fields, our guy from the farm.
Disadvantaged, slow-witted, and likable—
Korl owns up to “his” weaknesses and knows no taboos.
“When Korl messes up, you get Jörg thrown in for good measure.” The two are inseparable, as the likable farmer is portrayed by Jörg Klingohr, a native of Mecklenburg. From his time in the army through his first vocational training, Jörg endured and put up with his G(g)enossen in the GDR. After studying psychology, his passion for acting took on a life of its own, and he became (probably) the country’s best-known unknown comedian. Jörg and Korl are rooted at Farmer Korl’s Golchener Hof in the heart of Mecklenburg, near Schwerin. And when they’re not strolling across the farm with the farmer, they provide rustic entertainment at the farm theater, in the Korl-Boi’s Duet, or alongside renowned artists—whose fascinatingly perfect imperfection appeals equally to the funny bone and the musical palate. Numerous performances—including with the Wildecker Herzbuben, Captain Cook, Ireen Sheer, Peter Orloff, the Schäfern, Maxi Arland, and many others—speak to the breadth of his musical experience. For 25 years, Bauer Korl has been touring solo or with like-minded musicians on stages from Rügen to Golchen to Oberhof and throughout Germany.
Those who don’t know him yet will get to know him, true to the motto: “Come to me, or I’ll come to you.”
He won’t leave the stage until the audience that understands him has dwindled away. Just like with Angela Merkel and Egon Krenz, everyone who’s had a taste of the GDR—who still knows what LPG, GST, DSF, and Saporosch mean—laughs at him. But he’s not just well-versed in current politics—he’ll also let you in on what other nonsense is going on beyond his own backyard and what kind of scandal is currently making the rounds. Because he looks far beyond his fenced-in horizon. As a trained “folk philosopher,” he knows exactly where the shoe pinches—both for you and in society! Whether it’s a food scandal, a pilots’ strike, a celebrity divorce, or a sex scandal—he’s got it all covered. Look forward to moments of side-splitting entertainment with the EAST—a farmer you’d meet today, but who still lives in the past, judging by the way “HE” looks. This promises some hilarious mental chaos when one believes that the EAST has taken over the WEST and thus more than fulfilled its historical mission—and all of this in public. May also be suitable for “West Germans” under certain circumstances, but please only if you have a strong ability to see things from another’s perspective.
