A dance hall comes to life: With live music, dance sets, and the atmosphere of a ballroom just like in the old days
The name says it all: People have been dancing for a long time at the location that is now home to the Deutsche Tanzkompanie. Known as the “Reutergarten,” the building was once a popular dance hall before it became a home for professional dance more than 60 years ago. Since 1992, the Deutsche Tanzkompanie has shaped this special place—a home for dance spanning generations.
To mark its 35th anniversary, the company is building on this history and transforming the Reutergarten once again into a dance hall. The dance ball will serve as a stage for the spirits that dwell within these old walls: In the style of a variety show, the evening will take guests on a journey through the highlights and quirks of the (world) history of dance, offering a glimpse of the cultural richness that has always gathered in Neustrelitz.
Through dance performances, live music, and a dance floor that explicitly invites you to join in, the Reutergarten once again becomes what it has always been: a place of encounter.
