Festival with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach
All over the world, associations, concert halls, church communities and artists are dedicated to cultivating the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. In many regions, Bach Days or Bach Festivals are regularly organized and held to make the music of the Baroque composer and the new compositions and performance practices that emerged from it accessible to a wide audience across generations.
In the Hanseatic and University City of Rostock, Bach has been cultivated in a special format since 2019. The work of Johann Sebastian Bach is and remains of great cultural value for present and future generations and must continue to be cultivated through performances in a wide variety of formats and aimed at all sections of the population. In the largest city in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, with its tradition of science and culture, the Bach Days have found their place in a regular calendar of events.
