In the fall of 2025, seven artists from Mecklenburg traveled to the Banat region of Romania to transform landscapes, stories, sounds, and encounters into artistic works. A creative residency in the town of Gârnic together with artists from Romania. The exhibition “SOUND BANAT” features works created during the international plein air event as well as pieces that reflect on the experience through an artistic retrospective. A documentation of the vibrant artistic exchange between Mecklenburg and Banat.
An art project sponsored and supported by: Bürgerfonds Kultur, Kunstverein zu Rostock, Communa Gârnic, SOMO.tec-GmbH Bentwisch, Šárka and Stanislav Havlík
