Easter arts and crafts market in the Nikolai Church in Rostock
Goodbye dreariness; welcome warmth, sun and color. After being canceled three times and almost on time for the start of spring, the Rostock Easter craft market is finally taking place again. Traditionally, three weeks before Easter and in its traditional place, in Rostock's Nikolai Church.
From March 7 - 9, almost 40 artisans invite you to an appealing and varied Easter market. Easter art on all the walls and pillars of the popular event church. Many works will deal with the theme of the (Easter) egg. Eggs in a wide variety of sizes, lovingly painted, engraved or elaborately decorated, are just as much a part of the lovingly presented offer as ceramic eggs, natural eggs or eggs designed in the "Sorbian style".
Imaginative wooden sculptures, hand-woven Easter baskets or traditional "felted" items enrich the broad spectrum of the Easter market, as do handmade bags made from cowhide and salmon leather, fashionable children's clothing or fine jewelry designs.
The Easter market is open on Thursday, March 7, from 11.00 am - 6.00 pm and on Friday and Saturday from 10.00 am - 6.00 pm. Admission is free again this year.
