The Fabric of Memory – Full-Day Workshop with Kristine von Soden at the Ahrenshoop Art Museum

What are memories? What are they made of? How do they feel? What differences and misconceptions—but also striking similarities—have shaped your individual experience and understanding of the world? Question after question sparked by the photos in the special exhibition “You Think We Were Different—Photographs from East and West, 1945–1989” —a wonderful source of inspiration for your own biographical texts, poems, sketches, and associations.

With the help of creative writing techniques, you’ll use selected images to weave your own tapestry of memories into words and text—some lighthearted, some serious; some whimsical, some satirical—all of them precious fragments of memory that will spark your shared exchange and prove immensely enriching.
