Dependent on and yet always striving for emancipation, art is created from art. Literature and visual art each refer to traditional motifs, themes and techniques and yet the artist wants to create something new with her art.
In a participatory event, visitors will experience how artwork and literary text influence each other intermedially and enter into a productive dialog.
Henni-Lisette Busch will read lyrical short prose that emerged from an examination of a painting by Migina Onida Winona. In a subsequent discussion with the visitors, the field of tension between literary language and visual form will be explored in greater depth. In the subsequent workshop, participants will develop their own visual works based on another of the author's narrative texts.
