Art meets trade - Bad Doberan art showcase
Art meets trade - Bad Doberan art showcase
What happens when art goes where you might not expect it?
When shop windows don't just show products, but tell stories?
From March 28, this is exactly what you can experience in Bad Doberan.
With the "KunstSchauFenster - Kunst trifft Handel" (ArtShowWindow - Art meets Commerce) campaign, the town will be transformed into a lively, open gallery for around four weeks. Local artists present their works not in traditional exhibition spaces, but in the middle of everyday life: in retail stores, restaurants, surgeries and even in empty store spaces.
This creates new perspectives - on art, on spaces and on the city itself.
Around 15 participating locations invite you to discover Bad Doberan in a special way. A stroll through the town center suddenly becomes a little journey: from shop window to shop window, from work to work, from idea to idea - sometimes surprising, sometimes touching, sometimes playfully light.
The combination of art and retail provides targeted impulses for the stationary retail trade. It brings movement into vacant spaces, creates attention and invites people to walk through the city more consciously, to stop and look.
At the same time, something is created that goes beyond the exhibition: encounters. Conversations between visitors, shopkeepers and artists. New connections. New perspectives.
The opening event will take place on March 28 at 11 a.m. in the Alexandrinenhof.
FEINART Ateliergemeinschaft and MIDDENMANK Produzentengalerie invite you to attend.
Visitors can meet the participating artists in person and start this special campaign period together.
"KunstSchauFenster" shows how creative, lively and innovative Bad Doberan can be when different areas come together and create something together.
And perhaps that is precisely the invitation:
To rediscover Bad Doberan.
With open eyes. And a new perspective.
