Art in dialog - when colors shine
Exhibition by Kathy H-Teufel and Wolf Herondis in Velgast
January 23 to March 20, 2026 - Gallery of the local history association Velgast e.V
Velgast gets a colorful visit: From January 23, 2026, two artistic styles that could hardly be more different will come together in the gallery of the Heimatgeschichtsverein Velgast, Ernst-Thälmann-Straße 44 - and for this very reason create a fascinating coexistence. Under the title "Art in Dialogue - When Colors Shine", Kathy H-Teufel and Wolf Herondis will be showing an extensive selection of their works together for the first time in Velgast.
The spectrum is as varied as the artists themselves: Expressive animal portraits, atmospheric nature and landscape scenes at the blue hour as well as modern works in acrylic pouring technique create a color-soaked panorama that effortlessly transports the viewer into very different pictorial worlds.
Kathy H-Teufel has long since established a firm place in the regional art scene with her unmistakable animal motifs. Wolf Herondis, widely known as the "painter of the blue hour", contributes works that capture the characteristic twilight with subtle dedication. As a special highlight, the exhibition also presents works that unfold their full radiance under black light - art that literally glows.
The vernissage will take place on January 23, 2026 at 17:00. Wolf Herondis will be there in person and is looking forward to talking to and answering questions from visitors.
A special highlight on this day:
Wolf Herondis presents his new illustrated book:
Title: The Blue Hour in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
ISBN: 978-3-8192-0548-4
The illustrated book is available from all bookshops - both bricks-and-mortar and online - as well as directly on site and in the MV-Kunst Galerie am Mammutbaum in Marlow. On request, the artist will be happy to sign the book for you personally on the day or add an individual dedication.
This exhibition is a colorful experience not to be missed. The doors are open until March 20, 2026 - and behind them awaits a dialog of colors that surprises, delights and inspires.
