The "" Long Night of Art and Shopping in Neustrelitz, which takes place annually on the second weekend in September, uniquely combines art and retail. The event offers a diverse program featuring music, exhibitions, readings, theater, dance, and architecture. The goal is to link art and culture with the shopping experience, thereby transforming the downtown area into a vibrant shopping and cultural district.
It is a one-day event running from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the city center, stretching from Strelitzer Straße through the market square to Schloßstraße. The stores invite shoppers to browse late into the night, accompanied by music, theater, and culinary offerings. Regional producers will showcase their goods in the streets, allowing visitors to discover handmade products. There will be activities for children and fashion shows.
