Mixed-Media Painting: Between Figurative and Abstract
From July through September 2026, artist Marion Körner will showcase her complete body of work at the Feldsteinscheune Bollewick.
In her multi-layered mixed-media works, she combines figurative elements with open, abstract pictorial spaces. The focus is often on people in motion, pausing, or in a state of change.
By working in layers, she creates vistas, overlays, and spaces of depth. Transitions become visible: between body and space, between presence and dissolution, between what has been experienced and what is taking new form. Color, line, and material coalesce into visual worlds that tell stories or are perceptible.
The exhibition invites visitors to take their time and engage with the works in the space. The unique atmosphere of the Bollewick fieldstone barn provides an open, supportive setting for this experience.
