An anniversary celebration marking the 75th anniversary of the Schifferkirche Ahrenshoop, featuring a large cake buffet, the planned planting of an anniversary tree, and music by Ulli Torspecken (vocals and accordion).
The Schifferkirche Ahrenshoop is celebrating the conclusion of its 75th anniversary with a community celebration. The highlight will be a large cake buffet hosted by the congregation—an afternoon to relax, chat, and join in the celebration in the shade of the thatched-roof church on Fischland-Darß-Zingst.
There are also plans to plant an anniversary tree as a visible symbol of the Schifferkirche’s 75th anniversary. This will provide the anniversary with a lasting, living symbol in the townscape of the Baltic resort of Ahrenshoop. (As of press time, no final details regarding the participation of the local council were available.)
Ulli Torspecken will provide musical accompaniment for the celebration, creating a lively, laid-back atmosphere with his singing and accordion playing. The singer and accordionist from Zeven has been performing at festivals, anniversaries, and special events for many years and brings a wide-ranging repertoire spanning oldies, Schlager, pop, and acoustic music—music that invites both singing along and simply listening.
The anniversary celebration is open to the congregation, locals, and guests alike and serves as a welcoming conclusion to a series of events—including lectures, discussions, concerts, and church services—that have explored the history and present of the Ahrenshoop Schifferkirche.
