Erich Kästner with a twist: On November 7, 2026, the Association for the Preservation of Artists’ Estates in West Mecklenburg (Verein zur Bewahrung von Künstlernachlässen Westmecklenburg e. V.) invites you to a special evening with Johannes Kirchberg at the Zinnhaus in Parchim.
Under the title “Erich Kästner – The Time Has Never Been as Great as It Is Today,” Johannes Kirchberg combines music, song, and words to transport the audience into the world and era of the great German writer.
 Saturday, November 7, 2026
⏰ 6:00 p.m.
 Zinnhaus Parchim, Lange Straße 24
️ Admission: €24
Tickets are available through Eventim, at the Parchim Tourist Information Office, and at our bookstore “reingelesen.”
And we’ll be there again for this event—though not as organizers: We’ll be manning the book table and bringing a selection of books related to Erich Kästner and his works.
So it’s a wonderful opportunity not only to experience a special evening of literature and music, but also to browse through Kästner’s books afterward.
We look forward to seeing you and to an evening dedicated to Erich Kästner, literature, music, and history.
