A day full of encounters, information, and new perspectives: Dementia Awareness Day invites people living with dementia, their loved ones, professionals, and anyone interested to engage in conversation, share experiences, and see dementia in a new light.
With this day of action, the “Grevesmühlen Dementia-Friendly” network invites family members, professionals, and anyone interested to engage in conversation, share experiences, and see dementia in a new light. A day full of encounters, information, and new perspectives. The event will be moderated by Kathleen Schluricke from the German Alzheimer’s Association, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Regional Chapter (e.V.) – Dementia Self-Help.

A difficult time lies ahead for Grant Anderson (Gordon Pinsent). He has lived with his wife Fiona (Julie Christie) for 20 years. But now it’s becoming increasingly clear that Fiona has Alzheimer’s. While Grant is still trying to come to terms with this, he discovers that his wife is in a relationship with Aubrey (Michael Murphy), who also has Alzheimer’s. Grant realizes how important the bond between the two people in need of care is.
