Exhibition & Cultural Walk | Oct. 4, 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
Concert Evening at the Exhibition | Oct. 9, 5 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 4,
The artists of the OPEN:MV e.V. art association are presenting the group exhibition “AUFBRUCH – Between Heaven and Earth” at the Hohen Demzin village church. The exhibition is complemented by a specially designed light installation that transforms the church interior into an atmospheric dialogue between art, architecture, and light, opening up new perspectives on the exhibited works.
Following the exhibition, a carriage ride through Mecklenburg Switzerland, a group lunch, and a hike along the Görzhausen Sculpture Trail led by Jim Schütz invite visitors to experience art, nature, history, and the landscape. Stops include the Röthelberg, the chapel at Schlitz Castle, and the Nymph Fountain.
The event concludes with a public discussion in the church with Frauke Lietz. Together with artists and guests, the exhibition’s themes will be explored, and questions about art, faith, freedom, community, and new beginnings in times of social change will be discussed.
Friday, October 9,
The exhibition “AUFBRUCH – Between Heaven and Earth” will be complemented by a special evening event. A surprise concert will engage in dialogue with the exhibited artworks and the light installation, transforming the church interior into a holistic sensory experience.
Music, light, and visual art come together to create an atmospheric presentation that opens up new ways of engaging with the exhibition. Visitors experience the works in a unique spatial and sonic atmosphere where perception, emotion, and artistic expression converge in a singular way.
