On June 20, 2026, 20 choirs from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will meet in Schwerin for the state choir competition and choir meeting.
The Landesmusikrat Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V. is hosting the 9th State Choir Competition M-V on Saturday, June 20, 2026 in the State capital Schwerin.
20 choirs in 11 categories from children's and youth choirs to women's and mixed choirs will face the juries in three evaluation rooms.
The choirs from all over Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will show off their skills in the auditorium of the Fridericianum, the Golden Hall in the Ministry of Justice and the auditorium of the adult education center.
In the evening, the joint singing and the closing event with the presentation of certificates will take place in a festive setting in the auditorium of the Fridericianum.
