The Rostock Philosophical Days invite you to an open dialog about the city, urban society, urban aesthetics and the ethics of urban life. In 15 events, they bring together science, culture, politics and citizens and provide impulses for a conscious, good city life.
The Rostock Philosophical Days invite a broad circle of interested people to take part in the philosophical discourse on the city and urban society. The focus is on questions of urban aesthetics and the ethics of urban life. The format gives citizens an ideological and philosophical approach to central issues of urban coexistence.
With 15 events, the Philosophical Days make a contribution to the 808th anniversary of the city. The aim is to
- to make aesthetic and ethical experiences of the urban visible and communicable,
- to promote critical thinking and action in dialog,
- to initiate new perspectives on the city in exchange with actors from science, culture and politics,
- to engage urban society in a reflective dialog about quality of life in Rostock and
- to take away impulses for a conscious, sustainable and good city life from a variety of event formats.
