Professionals from the region present traditional crafts that you can touch, participate in and marvel at in the Wolgast coffee mill.
On October 10, 2026, local artisans will showcase traditional crafts at the Wolgaster Kaffeemühle, offering hands-on experiences and opportunities to participate.
From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., visitors of all ages can experience traditional crafts up close in the historic atmosphere of the 300-year-old half-timbered building with its craftsmen’s loft. Guests can look forward to a diverse program offering insights into historical craft techniques such as caulking, blacksmithing, and basket weaving. Children can make their own jump ropes in the historic rope-making workshop. Impressive demonstrations—ranging from the crafting of Stone Age weapons to the art of milling—round out the program.
In collaboration with the Kulturlandbüro, new “Stubengeschichten” (local stories) have been created over the past few months. The focus is on selected objects from Lassan, Freest, Usedom, Zempin, Zinnowitz, the Lieper Winkel, and Wolgast.
To mark the opening of the Heimatstubenzentrale, the postcards created for the “Stubengeschichten” will also be presented for the first time.
On Craft Day, admission is reduced to €2 per person. Admission is free for children 16 and under!
