The guest is the solo oboist of the Staatskapelle Schwerin, Demre Erdem, who will perform works by Robert Schumann, Pavel Haas, Eugène Bozza and Francis Poulenc together with the pianist Frank-Immo Zichner, who grew up in Pasewalk.
International format - regional ties
Demre Erdem is one of the most distinguished young oboists of her generation. Following her training in Ankara, her career has taken her to renowned orchestras and international concert stages. As principal oboist of the Staatskapelle Schwerin, she plays a key role in shaping the sound of this traditional orchestra. Her playing combines tonal warmth with technical mastery and great expressive range.
Frank-Immo Zichner has been closely associated with the Pasewalk audience for many years. The internationally award-winning pianist, who has performed in over 40 countries, regularly returns to his home town as a soloist and chamber musician. He is also the dramaturge of the Pasewalk Music Society and plays a decisive role in shaping the society's artistic profile. His participation in the season opener underlines this ongoing collaboration.
Program with a tonal range
The program ranges from the romantic soundscape of Schumann and the rarely performed works of Heinrich Haas to the French elegance and rhythmic sophistication of Bozza and Poulenc. Oboe and piano enter into a multifaceted dialog - sometimes lyrical and intimate, sometimes brilliant and full of energy.
With this first concert of the year, the Musikverein Pasewalk is sending out a conscious signal: international quality, artistic continuity and a lively concert culture in the Historic U.
