- 2:00 p.m. | International Competition 5: Roots (71 min)
Just as trees are rooted in the earth, so too are people deeply rooted in their identity, their traditions, their family, and their memories. If the roots are strong, we may one day see the fruits.
- 4:30 p.m. | International Competition 6: I (Don’t) Believe (80 min)
The films in this competition block do without traditional happy endings featuring weddings. Filled with dark humor, self-deprecating humor, and hope, they explore the complexity of relationships and search for love where it seemingly ends—or is just beginning.
