Bridging Europe 1: French Evening – The Best of Clermont-Ferrand
This special evening presents a selection of five bold and extraordinary short films from the LAB section of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, the world’s largest short film festival.
The films cover an extraordinary range of topics: from a nighttime club gathering of insects to police violence and the influence of artificial intelligence on the grieving process, to a photographic memory album of the queer community of the 1960s, as well as an animated film that explores the existential question of what happens when a person encounters God.
Following the screenings, there will be a discussion with the filmmakers in attendance, the curator, and guests from Nevers, Neubrandenburg’s French sister city.
To round out the evening, our local partners cordially invite you to a French buffet and a glass of wine.
The program is recommended for viewers ages 16 and up.
