When autumn unpacks its most beautiful colors, the air smells of ripe apples, fresh straw and spicy cabbage and a golden light lies over the fields, then it's time again for our traditional "Wittower Erntefest".
On September 26, 2026, we cordially invite you to join us at the Rügenhof farm in Putgarten from 10 a.m. to marvel, enjoy and simply celebrate life and community.
What awaits you:
- 10.30 am - Harvest parade: look forward to a colorful parade with impressive old and new harvesting machines and tractors - from lovingly cultivated history to modern agriculture.
- 11.00 a.m. - Opening & concert: the Wieker brass band officially opens our festival with lively sounds and immediately creates a great atmosphere.
- 13.00 - Jasmunder Plattdänzer
- 15.00 - Wittower Tanzhummeln
- In between and afterwards: many other small and big surprises.
- Rural crafts to marvel at: every hour there will be demonstrations of traditional crafts such as spinning, felting, beekeeping and sheep farming - lively, vivid and close enough to touch.
- Best entertainment all day long: Leif Tennemann accompanies you through the festival as "janitor Erwin" and provides amusing and cheerful entertainment with lots of wit and charm.
For our younger guests: small animal show, pony rides, face painting, instrument making with children - children's hearts will beat faster here.
Enjoyment of Wittow: Look forward to the sale of our Wittow garden products and many culinary highlights:
- the famous Wittow cabbage pan,
- pea soup from the goulash cannon,
- Bratwurst from the grill,
- beer on tap,
- cake bazaar and much more.
7 p.m. - Traditional harvest dance: The crowning finale will be dancing in the culture barn at the Rügenhof.
