SPEICHER_Leute e.V. occupied the Speicher am Katharinenberg in Stralsund with art on November 8/9, 2000. So this year we are celebrating an anniversary. A quarter of a century full of projects, events, people and machines. The SPEICHER is FOURTEEN times full!

We are showing an exhibition of works by Speicherleuten in the broadest sense on the studio floor and a timeline in the courtyard looks back and forth.

Mini printing workshops in various printing techniques: Gravure printing, textile printing or poplar plate printing

The association has been doing youth work with the means of art for over 30 years, without creating "safe spaces" for young people. The Speicher is a cultural venue for everyone. The focus is on graphic printing techniques. The playing card factory on the first floor is a museum workshop in which the cultural heritage of letterpress printing is actively practiced and the tradition of Stralsund playing cards is continued. The studio floor provides space for artistic projects and workshops. The open studio on Wednesdays is the origin of the association and the basis of the cultural center. The use of rooms and materials is organized for all club activities via the memory card. We have just returned from our annual print festival Feste Drucken - this time on the island of Hiddensee - and are preparing for the anniversary weekend. On Saturday, November 8, the house will be newly occupied and celebrated on all floors from 11 am. The highlight will be a concert by the jazz band "Klima Kalima", which gave one of its first concerts in the SPEICHER after the occupation and is now touring the world. Of course, there will be printing all night long. Come and plan the future with us. In three quarters of a century, the SPEICHER will be completely full!
