The WSV "Einheit" Neustrelitz is hosting the now very popular "Strelitz Water Battle" on Saturday, September 5, on Lake Glambecker in Neustrelitz. The race will be held in dragon boats whose length of 12.5 meters is truly impressive. A full crew consists of 20 paddlers, one drummer, and one steersman. Races will be held over distances of 300 m and 1,000 m. As in previous years, the competition will also include a triathlon, which involves swimming, running, and paddling. Corporate and sports teams from the region have registered. Among them are: Red Crosser DRK Ntz, Strompiraten EAN, Radau-Kienäppel Kita Ntz, Stadtwerke Ntz, Blaulicht Dragons, Stromschnellen NB, Müritz Drachen, Carolinum Dragons, and a few more. Anyone interested is cordially invited to come and enjoy this event starting at 9:00 a.m. Then it’s time once again to say: “Are you ready? Attention! Go!”
