” Numerous legends have surrounded the famous ghost of Schwerin Castle for centuries. Deep within the venerable walls of Schwerin Castle, he is said to still be hidden today: a dear old guest known here simply as “Petermännchen.” But who is this mysterious ghost really? The legends tell of his many faces: Sometimes he appears as an enchanted prince, other times as a loyal protector of the Mecklenburg ruling house. At other times, he emerges as the spirit of justice, watching over right and wrong and punishing the wicked. We’ll follow his trail through the castle and immerse ourselves in stories and traditions full of secrets, courage, and magic. After the tour, it’s time to get creative: then castle ghosts of all ages can craft their very own Petermännchen and take a piece of this legendary world home with them.
