To mark German Unity Day, we invite you on a journey through the landscapes from east to west. We begin with Bedřich Smetana, who created a musical monument to his Czech homeland with *The Moldau *. About 30 kilometers north of Prague, the Moldau flows into the beautiful gray Elbe. With a twinkle in his eye and a nod to Johann Strauss’s *Blue Danube*, Fabian Otten lets the former border river surge through our theater tent. We then journey through Hans Werner Henze’s enchanted forest with Robert Schumann into the Rhineland.
