Picnic concert by the “Gesellige Zeit” ensemble, featuring the children’s choirs from the “Unsere Lütten” and “Miteinander” daycare centers and the Crivitz Elementary School, on Burgplatz in Crivitz by the Peace Bell.
In accordance with the mission of the organizers—the “Jung & alt” Crivitz e.V. association and its partner, the “Wort und Klang” Music and Culture Association Mecklenburg e.V.—to significantly revitalize cultural life through a diverse range of cultural events, with the aim of familiarizing local people of different generations with their cultural heritage—the 1st Crivitz Music Summer, which began in early May, will continue with two additional concerts on Saturday, July 4, at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on the historically significant Burgplatz (Peace Bell).
On Saturday, July 4, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., the regionally renowned ensemble “Gesellige Zeit” will perform well-known and lesser-known children’s and folk songs together with the children’s choirs from the aforementioned social and educational institutions, inviting the audience to sing along. The children and their educators or teachers have been rehearsing intensively with the ensemble for several months now to prepare for this colorful concert program.
Admission is free for the event, which is primarily dedicated to the audience and residents of the region between Schwerin, Sternberg, Goldberg, Parchim, and Neustadt-Glewe. Attractive and interesting cultural offerings should be affordable for residents, especially in times of financial hardship. The organizers, performers, and sponsors are enthusiastically committed to making this a reality.
