This program is designed for people who wish to teach dance in a recreational setting and incorporate it into their social and educational professions as a complementary and enriching element of their work. Participants in the training program will learn the necessary fundamentals for teaching dance and movement in a contemporary context. The following areas of focus are covered: Dance and Inclusion / Dance with Children / Classical Dance / Contemporary Dance / Dance Improvisation / Hip Hop / Traditional Folk Dance / Rhythmics / Exercise Science / Fundamentals of Choreography
The “Dance Instructor for Dance Culture ” continuing education program is the first component of the German Federal Association of Dance (Deutscher Bundesverband Tanz e. V.)’s comprehensive concept for dance education. It spans 12 weekends over a period of 1 1/4 years and takes place in Rostock. This opportunity—unique in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania—to pursue continuing education in the field of dance is a part-time qualification program in dance culture, conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the BEIRAT TANZ (Dance Advisory Board)/Section “Council for the Performing Arts and Dance”/German Cultural Council.
