Swingelingeling
Victoria, Anne and Sörin - three lively ladies, three expressive voices: DIE ZIMTSCHNECKEN! In the winter of 2012, the three meet and decide to bring well-known songs by the Andrews Sisters to the stage with new German lyrics. As an actress, Victoria Fleer has already shone as a singer and dancer in the Andrews Sisters revue "Sing Sing Sing" at the Altonaer Theater - she developed the choreography for the Zimtschnecken. Her fellow actress Anne Weber writes the German lyrics, and Sörin Bergmann studies the vocal arrangements, writes some of them herself or arranges them in the typical swing style. Together they are DIE ZIMTSCHNECKEN. Why? Because they are not Franzbrötchen!
In November 2015, Die Zimtschnecken sang their first full-length concert program at the sold-out Komödie Winterhuder Fährhaus. The great response: all (!) further concerts are sold out in no time. Not only NDR, but also ARD became aware of Die Zimtschnecken and invited them to appear on Beatrice Egli's Saturday evening show "Die große Show der Träume".
The Zimtschnecken's repertoire is unique in today's music world: three-part, true-to-style swing, still committed to the tradition of the Andrews Sisters, with sophisticated and humorous German lyrics, which bring the original song originals into a sometimes emotional, sometimes ironically broken, in most cases Hanseatic here and now. The three ladies present world-famous classics such as "In the mood" or "Chattanooga Choo Choo" with plenty of charm and wit, as well as swinging Christmas songs in a new interpretation of the lyrics. Die Zimtschnecken spice up their musical repertoire with clever choreography ("No one thinks up better than Victoria!"), comedic dialogues and figure-hugging 1940s costumes.
A program that simply puts you in a good mood!
